At Nightlife, we are committed to enable the protection of the human rights of all people with a disability to live free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

To honour this commitment, we have introduced a new project to spread awareness and enhance understanding of human rights and abuse in our organisation, in line with the National Disability Services Zero Tolerance Framework.

This entails understanding causes and risk factors of abuse, supporting the empowerment of individuals with a disability and taking initiative to reduce the occurrence of abuse. To target this, we have introduced mandatory training for all staff to complete the NDS ‘Understanding Abuse’ e-learning module, which focuses on recognising abuse as a violation of a person’s rights and minimising the risk of abuse. We have also integrated visual concepts in our office and our online presence to enhance awareness of this vision. We plan to further encourage and incorporate the Zero Tolerance Framework within our organisation and ensure that it is understood and demonstrated by all members of Nightlife
